"When I first watched the film I had such strong feelings of memory from my childhood, I wanted to explore that" - John (JJ) Garden.

We welcome the Scissor Sister's musical director and keyboard player John (JJ) Garden to accompany the remarkable original film version of Arthur Conan Doyle’s towering adventure story. A young reporter and his team find their lives in danger when they set out on a jungle expedition to prove that donosaurs still exist.

Featuring pioneering stop-motion techniques from Willis O'Brien (just prior to his work on King Kong), The Lost World stars silent screen icons Bessie Love and Wallace Berry, and a host of incredible early stop-motion dinosaurs, which created a world-wide sensation when the film opened in 1925.

US 1925 Dir. Harry Hoyt 101 min.

Presented in partnership with Bristol Silents.
