The Barbican has long been a source of amazement and inspiration as well as controversy. Through this walking tour of the external high walks and inside the Barbican Centre itself, we will reveal the history of the site and the plans behind the original design. Discover the ideas, values and agendas that shaped the vision of this unique architectural endeavour.

Led by our Barbican Explorers, the tour lasts 90 minutes and will depart from the Advance Ticket Desk inside the Silk Street entrance and will end at the Lakeside.
