DevArt

DevArt: developers using technology as their canvas and code as their raw materials to create innovative, engaging digital art installations.

As part of Digital Revolution, Google launched a worldwide DevArt competition to find the next up-and-coming developer artist. The winner's work is now on display in the Digital Revolution exhibition alongside some of the world's finest interactive artists; Karsten Schmidt, Zach Lieberman, and the duo Varvara Guljajeva and Mar Carnet.

Cyril Diagne & Béatrice Lartigue,
a duo from France, are the DevArt competition winners. Cyril and Beatrice’s project, Les métamorphoses de Mr. Kalia, is an interactive poetic adventure around the theme of metamorphosis in the human body. The piece conveys feelings related to change, evolution and adaptation. Mr. Kalia is brought to life through the use of a skeleton tracking technology, and uses Chrome apps and Google Compute Engine.
