An expansive installation responds to the dramatic height of our Foyer Lightwell, accompanied by a 35mm film projected onto our iconic architecture. As you move through the building, you’ll encounter the intricately choreographed structure from multiple viewpoints and experience subtle shifts in sound, light and perspective.
Across moving image and installation, Barba's work draws on the apparatus of cinema – strips of celluloid film, projectors, and screens – to question the relationship between image and perception, memory and time. She often takes landscapes as her starting point, understanding them as sites inscribed with the traces of political, technological, and historical change.
