Relaxed Screening

Two men sit in the desert

Oliver Laxe’s mystical odyssey in the desert is propelled by hallucinatory visuals and thumping beats.

A man and his son arrive at a rave deep in the mountains of Morocco. They are looking for Marina, their daughter and sister, who disappeared months ago at another rave.

Hope is fading but they push through and follow a group of ravers heading to one last party in the desert. As they venture deeper into the burning wilderness, the journey forces them to confront their own limits.

Six years after the mesmerizing Fire Will Come (2019) took home the Un Certain Regard Prize in Cannes, Oliver Laxe unveils a spiritual road movie about physical wanderings, borders, and introspection.
