Join our curators for two special tours of Project a Black Planet with focusses on the media of Pan-Africanism and the historical and political thought underpinning the exhibition.

Project a Black Planet is the first major exhibition to consider the influence of Pan-Africanism on visual art and culture, and the critical role of artists in shaping Pan-African visions. The exhibition presents around 300 works produced across Africa, Brazil, the Caribbean, North America and Western Europe, by artists including Chris Ofili, Lynette Yiadom-Boakye and Claudette Johnson.

On Thursday 11 June, join Curators Antawan I. Byrd and Matthew S. Witkovsky on a tour with a special focus on the media of Pan-Africanism.

On Friday 12 June, Curator Adom Getachew leads a tour focusing on the historical and political thought underpinning the exhibition.
