The Smeds and the Smoos + Music with Tara Franks (U)

Preschool Pics

In animation, a large creature holding a watering can stands in a field of roses in front of a green sky, in conversation with two small creatures, one blue and one orange.

Get ready for a tuneful time in the cinema followed by a classic story from Julia Donaldson on the big screen!

The wonderful cellist and musical extraordinaire, Tara Franks, of Tots Tunes is back to start our morning with rhythm and get us boogieing to the beat before we settle into our seats to watch The Smeds and the Smoos.

Set on a distant planet, the story follows two neighbouring alien families that never want to talk to each other. When one of each of their number – Bill and Janet – strike up a secret friendship, the families must overcome their differences or lose the ones they love. This gorgeous animation from Magic Light Pictures, based on the book by Julia Donaldson, is a warm-hearted treat about conquering prejudice and finding friendship.
