The Invite

Seth Rogen and Olivia Wilde are the subjects in this tense and hilarious study of a failing marriage.

Joe (Rogen), a weary music professor, arrives home one evening to find his highly strung wife Angela (Wilde) has invited their sexy, uninhibited neighbours (Penélope Cruz, Edward Norton) to dinner.

Diving into long-term love, desire, open relationships, and all things love in the modern world, this poignant remake of the Spanish comedy The People Upstairs (released in 2020, by Cesc Gay) probes the well-hidden insecurities that lies beneath a seemingly smooth relationship.

Acoustically, the film features a vibrant score from Devonté Hynes (Blood Orange) that deliciously adds to the tension of the plot.
