Father Mother Sister Brother (15)

Members' Screening

two people lying on each other

Cate Blanchett and Adam Driver star in Jim Jarmusch's (Only Lovers Left Alive) family triptych, following emotionally detached siblings around the world, marked with humour and insightful humanism.

Siblings Jeff (Adam Driver) and Emily (Mayim Bialik) visit their father in rural New Jersey. Two polar opposite sisters (Vicky Krieps and Cate Blanchett) have a scheduled tea date with their mother (Charlotte Rampling) in Dublin whilst twins Skye (Indya Moore) and Billy (Luka Sabbat) make a final visit to their family home in the wake of a tragedy.

Acclaimed arthouse director Jim Jarmusch's return to interlinked stories and international panorama delivers an engaging character study filled with humour and subtle motifs that draw these disparate pairings together.

In its comedy and tragedy, Father Mother Brother Sister acknowledges how little we really know about who our parents are, told with softness and acceptance. Shot beautifully by Frederick Elmes and Yorick le Saux.
