Life Support (15)

A group of international doctors breach the blockade of Gaza. This unflinching documentary captures what they found.

Since October 2023, Gaza has been sealed from the world. With global media barred from reporting, international doctors are the only group getting in.

This, often harrowing, documentary from Daniele Rugo is built around the first-hand accounts of three medics inside overwhelmed hospitals. They lay bare the daily reality of Gaza over the past two-years: bombed-out wards, dwindling supplies, starvation, and an overwhelming influx of casualties. Their accounts reveal what else is being denied entry, formula, pain medication and surgical instruments.

Mixing their accounts with camera footage shot by locals captures what the mainstream media has failed to, resulting in an unflinching record of a society being dismantled.

Content warning: contains graphic and distressing scenes including images of severely injured children and starvation.
