Preview: Leviticus + ScreenTalk with Adrian Chiarella and Joe Bird (15)

ScreenTalks

two men facing each other with a mesh door between them

Two teenage boys living in an ultraconservative community in rural Australia are threatened by a violent entity seeking to destroy them in this breath-taking queer horror.

17 year-old Naim (Joe Bird) and his devout Christian mum Arlene (Mia Wasikovska) move to a small, isolated town in Victoria. Arlene finds belonging within the local church group, yet her son lives a solitary existence both in and out of school.

One day, Naim happens to spend some time with Ryan (Stacy Clausen), a boisterous student, and the pair strike up a heated romance. When the elders of the town discover the nature of their bond, the teens begin to be stalked by a terrifying force.

We are thrilled to host this preview, followed by a ScreenTalk with director Adrian Chiarella and actor Joe Bird, who will be in conversation with Barbican Cinema Curator Sonia Zadurian.
