Relaxed Screening: Minions and Monsters + Pre-film drawing demo with writer and illustrator Flavia Zorrilla Drago (U)

Family Film Week

Minions gather together around candles in a séance.

The Minions take on Hollywood in an origin story featuring gags galore, madcap chases, Kaiju-mania and some fantastic cinematic cameos!

Before the film begins, get stuck in with our special guest, Flavia Zorrilla Drago, who will take the audience through the paces of creating a monster, and then you can keep doodling throughout the screening in a relaxed environment.

An ancient tribe of Minions moves from villain to villain and after many years, end up in silent-era Hollywood where they are overnight sensations on the silver screen. However, with the advent of sound movies, the Minions can’t hold onto their stardom and are driven to desperate lengths to rediscover their onscreen magic. Travelling to a kaiju island to find the ultimate monster for their comeback movie, three of the film-obsessed yellow pals accidentally unleash a beastly force like no other and chaos ensues!

And don’t forget it’s Halloween, so come along dressed in your favourite costume or Hollywood finest!

With captions.
