Arco + Pre-film ‘Build Your Own Future’ activity with RIBA (PG)

Family Film Week

flying creature

Join us during half term for this dazzling animated sci-fi and a free pre-film activity with RIBA.

In the year 2932, a family of time travellers live in peaceful treetop houses. But when the youngest member of the team – 10-year-old Arco – steals away to explore alone, he ends up stranded in 2075.

There he meets Iris, a young girl supervised by robot technology, and the two must navigate their new friendship in a world where extreme weather events threaten everything around them.

Inventive and adventurous, Arco is a breath of fresh air. Nominated for an armful of awards all over the world, it’s unmissable on the big screen.

Before the film, we’re delighted to welcome back Lil Adams and Edie Parfitt from RIBA to support families in a free drop-in activity from 10am. Get stuck in with a fun paper crafting activity to get you thinking about what a future city could be and how you would design your dream building in a changing environment.

Age suggestion: 7+

The RIBA Learning programme provides exciting opportunities for everyone to explore, question and celebrate architecture. Their programme is inspired by the work of members – past and present – and draws on their world-class collection holding more than four million items and RIBA's exhibitions.

This film has been BBFC classified as a PG – but assessing suitability of any film is the responsibility of parent/guardian.
