A Shuffle of Shorts! + Pre-film Dragon Wings and Things Crafting (U*)

Family Film Week

A dragon stands on the street.

We’ve picked our favourite short films and shuffled them together in this lovely programme, perfect for starting your Saturday!

Come along for our opening Family Film Week screening and try out some fantastic animations from around the world – selected to introduce our young audience to a range of different styles and stories. With papercut, drawn and painted animation as well as stop motion – telling tales of bats, dragons, mice, squirrels and more – this is a great opportunity to start your little one off on some world cinema that you won’t see anywhere else!

And from 10am, why not swing by the Cinema Café for an activity led by Clara Petersen inspired by the short film Once Upon a Time in Dragonville. Come and make a pair of dragon-wings using paper and textiles and get creative with costumes!

Approx cinema run-time 65 min
Suggested age: 5yr+

Clara Petersen is a London-based knitter and artist-facilitator who has just completed an MA in Arts Education, Culture &Practice, researching collaborative, dialogue- and practice-based approaches to art education and interpretation at Institute of Education, UCL.
