Missing Link (PG)

Family Film Club

An animated creature

This stunning stop-motion animation from LAIKA studios is a witty romp set in the world of competing Victorian explorers!

When professional adventurer Sir Lionel Frost (Hugh Jackman), makes a bet with his rival, Lord Piggot-Dunceby (Stephen Fry), to bring back definitive proof of the legendary Sasquatch, little does he realise the dangers he’ll face to win the wager.

Travelling to the USA, pursued by a ruthless bounty hunter, he’s involved in chases, bar fights, burglary and a stormy steamer sea crossing – all before reaching the Himalayas with enemies hot on his trail. Along the way Lionel is joined by Adelina Fortnight (Zoe Saldaña) and Mr Susan Link (Zach Galifianakis) aka Big Foot – and together they form their own found family of adventurers.

Directed by Chris Butler, from LAIKA Studios – makers of Paranor-man and the upcoming Wildwood, this intricate stop motion is a must-see on the big screen and a fantastic comedy adventure for young film-lovers.
