Join artist and poet Lynette Yiadom-Boakye for an illustrated poetry and history reading that entwines images from her personal archive with her artistic and poetic practice.

This event closes a major season devoted to Pan-Africanism’s enduring imprint on contemporary arts and culture. A multidisciplinary summer-long programme built around the major international exhibition Project a Black Planet: The Art and Culture of Panafrica.

Throughout the event, Yiadom-Boakye traces how Pan-Africanism has shaped and continues to influence her thinking.

This exhibition is co-organized by the Art Institute of Chicago and MACBA Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona in collaboration with Barbican London, and KANAL-Centre Pompidou Bruxelles.
