LSO Discovery Family Concert: Orchestral Olympics

Suitable for 7- to 12-year-olds

LSO Family Concert Orchestral Olympics

Run, jump, dance and sing as we discover the highest, lowest, fastest, slowest, coolest, catchiest music ever known.

Pieces by Elgar, Sibelius, Handel, Mendelssohn and many more take us on a fun, interactive journey at the Barbican, with a bit of friendly competition along the way!

Presented in a fun and informative way, LSO Family Concerts feature music based on a theme and offer the chance for everyone to get involved by playing or singing along with the audience participation piece.

Welcome to our Marvellous Medals Award Ceremony! Here we are celebrating all the weird and wonderful things we are best at.

Participants are invited to create a marvellous medal for someone, ideally they are with that person. Families can all make medals for each other (you can also make one for yourself) Maybe Mum is the World's Best Hugger? Or the Best at Silly Dances. Perhaps you are the best at inventing jokes?

Once your medal is crafted, the recipient can take their place on the podium, under the banner for a photo, families can group together.
