Playing the Game; Taking Risks in and Around the Creative Industries

Creative Careers

Join us for a Creative Careers session exploring the art of playing the game and taking risks.

The creative sector has never been a more exciting place to consider a career in the UK. If the creative industries keep growing at the same pace, they could create 900,000 new creative jobs by 2030 - a massive opportunity for young people moving forward.

Candidates need to be willing to set themselves apart in a hugely competitive job market. Young people have to show what they’re made of in a way that differentiates their work and their characters, leaving a memorable mark for employers and collaborators to remember them by.

In the first of our Creative Careers sessions for 2020, hear from four of London’s brightest creative movers and thinkers who have all ploughed their way into the creative industry and are building profiles and leveraging partnerships - all as a result of their willingness to get out there and play the game.

This is a free event for Young Barbican members and Guildhall students only. Food and refreshment will be provided on the night.
