International Orchestras Multibuy 2018–19
Barbican members can save with our International Orchestras multibuy
- Book 3-4 qualifying concerts at the same time and receive 10% off.
- Book 5+ qualifying concerts at the same time and receive 15% off.
There are two exciting new features to our International Orchestras multibuy this year:
- Members can now purchase a multibuy package at any time throughout the season.
- You can subsequently top up the package with additional events throughout the year over the phone on +44 (0)20 7638 8891 or in person at the Barbican box office.
Please read the FAQs below to fully understand these features and how they work to ensure you don’t miss out.
Can I purchase an International Orchestras multibuy package?
Yes, if you’re a Barbican member. If you’ve never considered a Barbican membership before, find out all about it – including the amazing range of benefits you can enjoy across our entire arts programme – on our Membership page.
Which events qualify for the International Orchestras multibuy?
Only the events listed on this page can be used to build an International Orchestras multibuy package.
How many qualifying events do I need to book to trigger a discount?
You need to book a minimum of three qualifying events in one go to receive a discount. An initial booking of 3–4 qualifying events will receive a 10% discount. An initial booking of 5+ qualifying events will receive a 15% discount.
Can I book a different number of tickets to each of the qualifying events?
Yes you can, but the multibuy discount will only be applied to the lowest number of tickets common to each event in the package. For example, you could purchase two tickets to two events, and three tickets to a third, but you would only receive the 10% discount on a pair of tickets to each of the three events.
How do I make my initial multibuy booking?
You can purchase your initial multibuy package online, over the phone on +44 (0)20 7638 8891, or in person at the Barbican box office. If booking online, log in and then add the chosen events to your basket as normal – the correct discount will automatically be applied to your basket as outlined above.
When can I make my initial multibuy booking?
You can purchase your initial multibuy package at any point throughout the year, up until Saturday 26 January 2019. At this point there will no longer be enough qualifying events remaining to create the smallest multibuy package of three events.
Can I book others events at the same time?
Yes you can. Provided you have logged in, just add all the events you want to your basket as normal and the correct discount will be automatically calculated.
What is topping up?
If you have already purchased a multibuy package, and decide you want to go to another qualifying event or events, you can still get a discount on those tickets.
How can I top up?
We’re currently unable to offer online top ups, so please visit the box office in person or call them on +44 (0)20 7638 8891 and we’ll ensure the correct discounts are applied – just provide your membership info and let us know which additional qualifying event(s) you want to book, and we’ll take it from there.
When can I top up?
You can top up your International Orchestras multibuy package at any point throughout the year, up until Saturday 25 May 2019, at which point all qualifying events will have passed.
How often can I top up?
You can top up as often as you like, until you have booked for all of the qualifying events.
Are discounts applied retrospectively when I top up?
No – if your initial multibuy purchase contained three or four qualifying events and received a 10% discount, but you subsequently top up with enough additional qualifying events to bring your overall package to five or more qualifying events, the 15% discount would only be applied to those events in the top up booking – you would not receive an additional 5% retrospective discount on the original three or four events.
Similarly, if you booked any qualifying events as a non-member and subsequently purchase a membership, a discount will only be applied to any future qualifying purchases. Those qualifying events purchased pre-membership will still count towards the number of events needed to trigger a multibuy – so if you’ve already booked two events, you’d be eligible to receive a 10% discount on a third event purchased as a top up booking. You can do this over the phone on +44 (0)20 7638 8891 or in person with the Barbican box office team.
