Our programme

Beyond Barbican

News From Nowhere tent at Walthamstow Garden Party

We work with local communities to create inclusive and sustainable community run festivals, projects and networks.

Inspired by the bold ideas and creativity of communities, we believe in working with our neighbours across east London, and learning together to develop inclusive and sustainable projects and networks.

Working year-round, Beyond Barbican builds relationships and connections with, and between, local partners, creating space for people with different skills, backgrounds and expertise to come together to realise creative projects in their neighbourhoods.

Our projects take place in venues and spaces in the heart of each community including parks, streets, libraries and pubs.

We work together to bring these everyday spaces to life through award-winning free festivals and events which showcase the extraordinary creativity and cultures of local people and places.
