Salary Range: £27,580- - £31,070 per annum (including London weighting), dependent on skills and experience

The Barbican is Europe's largest multi-arts and conference venue presenting a diverse range of art, music, theatre, dance, film and creative learning events. Our music programme cuts across all art form of music including work by contemporary musicians, experimental collaborations and leading orchestras and soloists. 

The Barbican Concert Hall is seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join the Music Department as a Technician.  You will be working alongside a team of colleagues of different specialisms and skills in the delivery of high level technical support to all music & commercial events in the Barbican Concert Hall, Foyers and Commercial Venues.

This position therefore requires a high level of competence in lighting, video, sound and stage equipment for a wide range of music, commercial and television events.   You will have a very good working knowledge of all technical genres. Amongst a range of other Technician duties across the AV and sound genre, you will be required to design/operate intelligent lighting fixtures that make up the concert halls permanent lighting rig.  
Please note this role will require the post holder to work at heights.  

This is a shift-based role and includes weekend and evening work.
