“The garden of the voice”: a garland of 18th–century English song, devised and performed by Le Jardin des Voix and the orchestra of Les Arts Florissants.
Capability Brown took the beauties of the English countryside and transfigured them into a new kind of art. In this delightfully theatrical concert, Paul Agnew, Les Jardin des Voix and the orchestra of Les Arts Florissants do the same for the music of the English baroque.
The singers are new and emerging stars, and the programme has been devised by Agnew and William Christie to paint the whole landscape of English song, from the Tudor court to the Georgian era. Music by Dowland, Gibbons, Purcell, Handel and Boyce is presented in a fresh way, by one of the world’s liveliest and most accomplished period ensembles.

Mobility
Spaces for wheelchair users in row U at the rear of the stalls (up to sixteen, depth of row 180cm) and the back row of the circle (four), both with fold-down companion seats. Some seats in row S of the stalls for people with very limited mobility.
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs may be taken into the concert hall where there are a limited number of suitable seats in row G of the stalls. If you prefer, you may leave your dog with a member of the cloakroom staff during the performance.
Hearing facility
There is an induction loop in the concert hall. You can use this by adjusting your hearing aid to the ‘T’ setting.
