Hailed as a star in contemporary flamenco, the Spanish star Buika is blessed with a remarkable voice; raw and smoky but with a tenderness that hits right at the heart.

This concert follows her sold out show earlier in the year at the London Latin Music Festival (La Linea) and the release of her stunning new album La Noche Más Larga, for which she has been nominated for Record of the Year for the track 'La Nave Del Olvido' at the 14th annual Latin Grammy awards.

The arrival of Buika’s ninth album in 2013 is taking her to a new stage of her career and has already received rave reviews including from the Daily Telegraph, which wrote: 'A husky roar of a voice that envelops the listener like a great blast of muffling Andalusian heat'.

'On this multi-textured, multi-layed Afro-latin-flamenco-jazz fusion album, recorded in New York, she takes well-loved standards by Jacques Brel and Billie Holliday to places their creators never knew existed.' Daily Telegraph

'Luminous…magnificent…superb!' New York Times

Support will come from Gambian kora maestro Sura Susso. Sura started his lifelong study of the kora (African harp) and a range of other percussion instruments at an early age, as the family household was constantly filled with music. Since his arrival in the UK, Sura has performed as a solo act in countless events, including for her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II, and has always prided himself on promoting his traditional music from his cultural roots in The Gambia, as well as absorbing new genres into his own style.

'Exquisite kora playing' Cerys Matthews in Songlines

'Brimming with imagination and delivered with virtuosic authority that announces a startling new talent' Rock and Reel
