Barbican Hall
Our Concert Hall is one of Europe's leading venues for orchestral and contemporary music concerts.
Our Concert Hall is available for artistic hire. The hire fee is as follows:
- financial year 2024/25 (venue only) £9600 + VAT
- financial year 2025/26 (venue only) £9890 + VAT
A deposit up to the value of the hire fee is required upon signature of contract.
The hall has a maximum capacity of 1949 divided between stalls, circle and balcony and is fully equipped with adjustable acoustic panels and a state of the art lighting rig. The 199.4 m² stage can hold up to 350 people and can be extended by 4ft or 8ft to accommodate necessary requirements.
We operate a priority booking system. The London Symphony Orchestra are resident artists and they, along with our Associate Producers and the Barbican's own promotion programming, have priority for Hall bookings. Because of this, we cannot allocate any additional bookings for the Hall until approximately 6-12 months in advance of an event, subject to availability.
You can register your interest in hire of the Hall at any time. An outline of the project should be submitted in writing or email indicating your preferred dates or time period. Please include details of the promoter, artists, repertoire, the orchestra or choir involved, the number of performers and technical complexity of the show. We require this information to find out how your concert may best fit into the programme, both artistically and logistically.
You can find our marketing and brand guidelines here.
