Festen is the story of an affluent family who gather at the magnificent home of the patriarch for a black-tie dinner to celebrate his 60th birthday. Before the dinner is over, the family’s lives are changed forever, as the horrors of deeds in the past spill out, and the whole extended family struggle with denial but are finally forced to confront the truth.
