You are the key to our future

Our Piano Appeal supports the maintenance of our three concert grands and ensures that the Barbican remains the London home of choice for world-class pianists.

Donors are invited to sponsor a key with their own name, that of a loved one or perhaps in honour of a favourite artist. The nominated name will appear on a piano key on our donor board outside the Barbican Hall Artist’s Entrance.

This opportunity is offered to donors who make a gift of £2,000 or more. This can be done either in one single donation or spread out over 12 monthly instalments (beginning with a 10% initial donation).

Donors will be sent a commemorative photograph of their piano key on the donor board and will receive an invitation to join us at a VIP reception, hosted around selected performances throughout the year*.

Don’t forget that if you’re a UK taxpayer you can also Gift Aid your donation to increase its value by 25%, at no additional cost to yourself.

The Barbican invests in the world’s best musicians at every stage of their career. For pianists, we invest in Steinway pianos.

Steinway
Steinway is the piano of choice for 98% of the world’s active concert pianists.  Help us keep the Barbican their venue of choice.
