Paola Prestini is a composer, director and a co-founder of VisionIntoArt, an interdisciplinary production company based in NY, and the creative director of a new Brooklyn based venue, Original Music Workshop.
She has been commissioned and performed by ensembles and organizations such as Bay Chamber Concerts, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Concert Artist Guild, the Kennedy Center, Kronos Quartet, Carnegie Hall, New York City Opera, and VisionIntoArt in venues and festivals worldwide.

Her current projects include Aging Magician, recently workshopped at the Prototype Festival with Julian Crouch, Rinde Eckert and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus; the Labyrinth Installation Concertos, a commission at the Krannert Center for soloists Maya Beiser and Cornelius Dufallo and artist Erika Harrsch; the Hubble Cantata, a commission for the Hubble Telescope's 25th anniversary for ICE Ensemble and soprano Jessica Rivera with film by Carmen Kordas; a new work for the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company for Lar's 70th birthday celebration; a new work for Young People's Chorus; and a residency at the Armory in partnership with the Watermill Center, and Beth Morrison Projects.

Paola has received awards from ASCAP, NYSCA and the LMCC and is a Paul and Daisy Soros fellow, and a Sundance Fellow. A graduate of the Juillard School, she studied with Robert Beaser, Samuel Adler, and Sir Peter Maxwell Davies.
