Open until 23 December, the Design Den offers an eclectic mix of innovative and stylish contemporary gift ideas for the festive season, including ceramics, furniture, jewellery, books and stationery. From affordable accessories and stocking fillers to exclusive show pieces, this is the ideal place for those seeking something special this Christmas. Designers include Richard Brendon , Jill Shaddock , James Uren , Grain Design , Kristina Klarin and Paul Blease. It also features an extensive range of editions from Eyestorm , the UK’s leading online retailer of contemporary art. Presenting a range of high quality, signed and numbered limited edition prints by both established and emerging artists such as Hamish Fulton , James Turrell , Vic Reeves and Alessandro Raho , at a special in-store rate. DUCKIE CHRISTMAS MARKET
10 – 30 December, Ground Floor Foyer
This festive season Duckie and the Barbican are producing the Duckie Christmas Market for three weeks during December in the foyers and walkways of the Barbican Centre to complement the Duckie Christmas show, Copyright Christmas , in the Theatre. This pop-up indie gift market will showcase small scale craft makers, local artisan food-makers, DIY designers, underground artists, thrifty retro hawkers and community arts curios. The festive fare on offer ranges from cool kids’ costumes (www.iwishiwasa.net) to inventive gingerbread creations (www.maidofgingerbread.co.uk) and indie galleries who produce great home-wares (www.garudiostudiage.com). There will be sixty different stall holders each day from 10 – 30 December, transforming the Barbican into a bustling, alternative and affordable high street where urban gardeners trade alongside cake-makers and vintage collectors alongside high tech sellers, offering a complete alternative festive shopping experience.
DESIGNER JEWELLERS GROUP+

The Designer Jewellers Group is back at the Barbican this winter, with an outstanding showcase of new contemporary jewellery. Featuring innovate designs from the UK’s leading creative designers as well as six outstanding new jewellers from this year’s graduate shows. Work on display from £25.
Barbican Art Gallery Shop, until 19 February 2012
This autumn Barbican Art Gallery is transformed by a major exhibition on OMA, co-founded by Rem Koolhaas in 1975, one of the most influential architecture practices working today. A new range of products developed to complement this major exhibition is available for purchase in Barbican Art Gallery Shop until 19 February 2012. An extensive selection of OMA books encompassing Rem Koolhaas’ Delirious New York ( 1978) and rare, collectible editions as well as products chosen in collaboration with OMA, including Uniform Wares watches and Rhodia notebooks, accompanies the range. The shop also includes a range of postcards, prints, stationery and design gifts.

The exciting new Barbican Shop opens late November, offering a relaxed environment in which to experience a carefully chosen range of design led contemporary gifts, accessories and confectionery, the ideal place to stock up on presents for Christmas and beyond. This is the first phase of a new retail offer that will develop further over the coming year.
