Staged concert performance
Inspired by The Magic Flute and its themes of magic and transformation, John Adams' new opera is based on a story from South India where magic is deeply woven into the fabric of legends and life. This ravishing ancient story is beautifully embodied by three outstanding young singers of a new generation, three innovative young masters of Javanese classical dance, and the youthful, inspired Schola Cantorum de Venezuala.
