Twenty years on from the death of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, the best known singer of Qawwali music, Rizwan-Muazzam Group, led by his nephews, demonstrate the continued passion for his musical tradition.

A form of worship in Sufism, the mystical branch of Islam, Qawwali music is an act of devotion in which hypnotic repetition induces a state of ecstasy. Backed by traditional instruments like harmonium and tabla, the brothersís rich voices soar, pushed onwards by pulsing music and rhythmic hand claps.

Considered by many to be one of the greatest voices the world has ever heard, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan brought Sufi music to an international stage. His influence reaches far, from Rock royalty to Bollywood soundtracks and electronic music. Rizwan and Muazzam continue to expand the reach of Qawwali to new audiences, working with contemporary producers such as Fun-Da-Mental and Neil Sparks, they're keeping the legacy of their uncle alive.
