Change of conductor Following his recent illness Sir Colin Davis has been advised by his doctors not to return to the podium before Christmas and sadly has had to withdraw from this concert.
Finnish conductor and renowned Sibelian Osmo Vänskä will now lead the Orchestra in the original programme of Sibelius’ Violin Concerto with soloist Leonidas Kavakos and Symphonies Nos 6 and 7. [Posted 9 Nov 2012 6pm]
