Wynton Marsalis leads an ensemble that delves into the jazz tradition with affection, musicality and drive, recreating the music of masters past and present with the energy of today as well as a rare understanding of the music’s rich history. Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra performances invariably celebrate the essential spirit of jazz at its absolute zenith.

Wynton and the Orchestra explore a fascinating repertoire that links the rhythms and sounds of jazz with the atmosphere of the American railroad, echoing the cross-country journeys that took jazz from city to city as the music evolved through the 20th century.
