Sir Colin Davis
conductor

Mitsuko Uchida continues the Mozart Piano Concertos series with his Thirteenth.

Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 13 is one of the first he wrote after his move to cosmopolitan Vienna, and tests the water with music of frank melodic charm and enchanting intimacy. Beethoven’s Second Symphony is one of his most cheerfully optimistic, for all that it was composed when he was confronting approaching deafness.
