Guildhall Symphony Orchestra & Chorus

Vassily Sinaisky conducts the GSO

The Guildhall Symphony Orchestra perform in Milton Court

Two celestial choral works and Elgar’s famous musical sketches, under the baton of renowned Russian conductor Vassily Sinaisky.

Vaughan Williams’s much-loved Serenade to Music, set to words by Shakespeare, follows star-gazing lovers as they wonder at the world to a soundtrack of sweeping orchestral music. Nicolai’s evocative ‘Moon Chorus’ is similarly inspired by the great bard, while Elgar drew inspiration from his friends in composing his famous Enigma Variations, a colourful collection of musical caricatures.

Guildhall Circle members are invited to attend this concert and an exclusive pre-performance reception as guests of the School (booking required). Please contact Megan Gibbs in the Development Office on 020 7382 7179 or [email protected].
