An unforgettable evening of musicmaking from ground-breaking New York City-based chamber ensemble Decoda, the Affiliate Ensemble of New York’s Carnegie Hall, and the Guildhall School’s new Resident Ensemble in Creative Performance. Enjoy the programme as an exploration of form, manifested in the not-quite-Fantasy of Benjamin Britten, 21st century approaches to folk music from Gabriela Lena Frank and Iva Bittová, architectural follies and literary sonnets from young phenom Andrew Norman, and perhaps the ultimate conveyer of form, Mozart. Or enjoy it as a carefully guided path through brilliant works of chamber music spanning four centuries.
