Tom Service introduces an afternoon concert of Andriessen's dance and jazz-inflected pieces.
The most open minded of composers, Louis Andriessenís work freely acknowledges his musical influences. This dance infused programme explores Andriessenís admiration for Stravinsky, with whom he shares an acute ear for colour and clarity of expression, the influence of Bach and his life-long love of jazz.
