Some of the world’s leading interpreters of Bach’s work perform his St Matthew Passion, depicting the final events leading to Christ’s death and resurrection.

Sir John Eliot Gardner unites his Monteverdi Choir and English Baroque Soloists for Bach’s 1727 masterpiece, which tells the story of Christ’s final days through the eyes of Matthew the Evangelist. Both heart-wrenching and full of hope, contemplative and celebratory, this Holy Week performance of his enduring music is the perfect Easter concert.
