Tallis Spem in alium

21 October 2014 / 19:30
Milton Court Concert Hall

 Sold out

Old and new collide in a chorally spectacular concert that includes Tallis’s 40-part Spem in alium, and Carl Vine’s Inner World with cellist Nicolas Altstaedt.

Alessandro Striggio’s large scale 16th century motet joins Tallis’s own, and two contemporary works of a similar scale by Gabriel Jackson and Robin Walker feature too. With choral works for the seductive combination of choir and cello, plus Carl Vine’s stunning piece for cello and electronics, this concert offers a spectacular range of aural experiences.
