Both Debussy’s Prélude and Ravel’s Daphnis and Chloe are impressionistic and colourful depictions of mythical landscapes dominated by the seductive melodies of a flute. These scenes of pagan sensuality are framed by Faure’s serene and elegiac Requiem and Poulenc’s joyful setting of the Gloria.
The performance will end at approximately 9.30pm
