Come and join us in an intimate jazz setting for an evening of three sets, featuring guest appearances from JALC faculty musicians. With performances from two Guildhall School jazz quartets and the Guildhall School Big Band, this promises to be a full night of swing! The Guildhall Big Band will be performing selections from 'A Drum is a Woman' - the suite by Duke Ellington - plus some original music by Wynton Marsalis, including 'Back to Basics' and 'Union Pacific Big Boy'. The small band groups will be performing arrangements and compositions by Wynton Marsalis, which will be receiving their UK premiere.
