Award-winning Malian singer-songwriter Rokia Traoré makes a much-awaited comeback to London, after the worldwide success of albums such as Bowmboi (2003) and Tchamantche (2008).
Listen to a preview of some of the new material which is being rehearsed ahead of this concert!
Joined by a supergroup of UK, European and emerging African
artists, she presents songs developed at her Music Institute in Bamako,
Mali - the music foundation she created to support young emerging
artists. Donguili includes singers backed by the foundation and features reinterpretations of existing songs and repertoire.
