Award-winning Malian singer-songwriter Rokia Traoré makes a much-awaited comeback to London, after the worldwide success of albums such as Bowmboi (2003) and Tchamantche (2008).

Listen to a preview of some of the new material which is being rehearsed ahead of this concert!

Joined by a supergroup of UK, European and emerging African artists, she presents songs developed at her Music Institute in Bamako, Mali - the music foundation she created to support young emerging artists. Donguili includes singers backed by the foundation and features reinterpretations of existing songs and repertoire.

Rokia Traoré talks to Ben Eshmade from Mali, in this excerpt from our May podcast
