Direct, eclectic, beautiful – this is how Jason Yarde and Andrew McCormack describe their MY DUO sound honed in jazz groups for over a decade.

The Elysian String Quartet (‘astonishing’ – The New York Times; ‘feisty boundary pushers – The Metro) have a fantastic track record of collaborations: with Ensemble Bash, poet/rapper Kate Tempest, vocalist/composer Meredith Monk and more recently with Syrian Kanun player Maya Yousseff for BBC Radio 3’s Late Junction, as well as performing on live film scores.

Fresh from the recording studio and collaborating publicly for the first time with special guests the Elysian String Quartet, McCormack and Yarde will be premiering material from their third album, due for release in 2013, alongside material from the MY DUO and Places and Other Spaces albums.
