The Academy of Ancient Music launches its Association at the Barbican with a celebratory performance of some of Handel’s most jubilant music. Written for national and royal celebrations, including a Fireworks display in Green Park and the Coronation of George II, these works course with instantly recognisable and thrilling tunes.

The Barbican performance concludes a major European tour and an appearance as part of the Jubilee Pageant on the River Thames.

'Fans of Richard Egarr and the AAM know the extent to which Handel's music sparkles and breathes under their fingertips' Classic FM Magazine, December 2011
