Kevin is an architect and uses a fine drafting pen to draw fragments of new architectural spaces in a style that he developed whilst working for his Master’s degree. His drawings are influenced by literary works such as Huysmans’s “A Rebours” and Philip Dick’s “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” These works depict fantastical and often fictional worlds that fuel Kevin’s imagination and become the genesis of his drawings. The works are maximalist in detail to entice the viewer into each drawing, causing them to stay awhile. Kevin uses a traditional production method as a familiar doorway for observers to step through into a different and unfamiliar architectural realm.
