A season of classics selected by Barbican Film audiences to celebrate the Centre’s 25th birthday.
visit the Barbican 25th birthday website
Over a three-month period, Barbican Film audiences voted for their favourite title from the Top 25 films in Halliwell’s Top 1000, published by HarperCollins; from Viridiana to the Seventh Seal (Det Sjunde Inseglet), Lawrence of Arabia to Some Like It Hot. All 25 films have shown at various times at the Barbican since the Cinema opened on 5 May 1982.
Thank you to the thousands who voted. We are delighted to announce that the Barbican Audience Favourite 1982 – 2007 is The Third Man. This and the next nine winning films form our Birthday season, which opens with a ScreenTalk with Rob White on Thu 1 Mar.
