+ ScreenTalk with Michael Giacchino

Pixar's Up

We're delighted to host prolific composer Michael Giacchino, who joins us to discuss his Oscar-winning score for Pixar's incredible animation.

Desperate to fulfil a lifelong dream, 78 year old Carl Fredricksen (Edward Asner) attaches thousands of balloons to his house in an attempt to fly away to the South American wilderness. Unbeknownst to the unorthodox jet-setter, he picks up an accidental stowaway in the form of do-gooder boyscout Russell and soon the unlikely pair are off on an airborne adventure. This funny and poignant tale is Pixar at its very best.

We’re delighted to be joined by composer Michael Giacchino to talk about his beautiful score to this film, as well as his work on a diverse portfolio of films including Ratatouille, The Incredibles, Star Trek and Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming.
