In his debut feature film, Stephen Poliakoff creates a potent portrait of an unknown world beneath the streets of London which is, as the leading protagonist says, ‘so drowning in secrets that no-one knows which are the important ones anymore’.

A writer (Charles Dance) becomes involved with a young woman (Cassie Stuart) who is obsessed with finding some mysterious images that have been hidden within a 1940s Government information film.

The locations are brilliantly chosen – an ancient piece of the Underground system, a vast subterranean chamber under Oxford Street, and the desolation of a huge landfill site.
