Following to the screening, actor-turned-director Richard Ayoade will join Hilary Smith to discuss his sinful selection (and huge influence on his debut film, Submarine): The Graduate. 

After leaving college, Benjamin Braddock (Dustin Hoffman) falls into an adulterous relationship with Mrs Robinson (Anne Bancroft). His affair is complicated further when he falls in love with Mrs Robinson’s daughter, Elaine (Katharine Ross).

Hilary Smith is a lecturer and curator. She is a lecturer in film studies at Birkbeck, University of London and also presents film courses at Bishopsgate Institute. She was formerly the Programme Planning Manager and Deputy Head of the National Film Theatre.
