In his Met company debut, Thomas Adès conducts the Met premiere of his widely praised opera, The Tempest. Directed by Robert Lepage, this innovative production recreates the interior of the La Scala opera house as the magical island venue for the otherworldly arts of Prospero, the exiled Duke of Milan.
Reprising his critically acclaimed role, Simon Keenlyside sings Prospero, the scheming Duke who attempts to restore his daughter, Miranda (Isabel Leonard) to her rightful place.
The cast also includes Toby Spence, Audrey Luna, Iestyn Davies, Alek Shrader, Alan Oke and William Burden.
