Due to circumstances out of our control, Agnieszka Holland is no longer able to attend this event. However, we are delighted to be joined in conversation by lead actor Robert Więckiewicz after the film.

Nominated for Best Foreign Language Picture at the 84th Academy Awards, this dramatic tale is based on the true story of one man’s rescue of Jewish refugees in Nazi-occupied Ukraine.

Adapted from the book In the Sewers of Lvov, which recounts how a group of Jewish refugees spent 14 months hiding in the city’s sewer systems.
